DIY- How to Make a Ribbon Lampshade

Here is a great idea to customize a lampshade.  I found this idea on Better Homes and Garden and thought I would try it out myself.

Wrap it with ribbon

All you have to do is purchase several spools of ribbon and a simple, inexpensive lampshade.  Most of your craft stores will run ribbon on sale from time to time.  Just be sure to purchase enough - 4 to 6 spools should do it.  You will need some strong glue to glue down the ribbon to begin.  I used hot glue.  When you change ribbon spools, just tie the ends together.  It's that simple.
